Sweet Almond oil (Prunus amygdalus var. dulcus)

The dried kernel of the almond tree is used to produce this clear, nearly colorless and odorless fixed oil.
Clear to pale yellow in color- it is typically known for being rich in essential fatty acids and proteins such as Oleic (C18:1) and Linoleic (C18:2) acid. When sweet almond oil is analyzed it is shown to contain like vitamins A, E, and B as well.
Many massage therapists use this carrier oil in blends because it can take a bit of time to absorb into the skin and leaves a slightly oils feeling on the surface, allowing the hands to slid and glide easily.
The average shelf life of Sweet Almond Oil is approximately 2 years, depending on when the batch was packaged and the storage conditions. Keeps well in cool, dark locations away from light & heat.
