The main constituent of any chamomile oil is chamazulene and belongs in the Ester classification. Like most essters, roman chamomile oil is soothing, relaxing, balancing and sedative.
Use Suggestions:
Chamomile oil is best used for stress and axiety in a diffuser or inhaled. - blend with carrier oil or massage oils. This oil is commonly used in preparations to address mood swings and PMS. This variety of chamomile oil is helpful in spasmodic conditions such as restless leg syndrome and can be added to a massage oil or milk bath. Known for quickly calming upset stomach. Chamomile essential oil is also well known as a natural remedy for stress and is quite calming when inhaled. To relax the body as well as the spirit, place a 10 drops of Chamomile oil into a warm bath. To remedy anxiety or nervousness, blend chamomile with a carrier oil or unscented lotion and rub on temples and neck. For a sleep inducing blend, try roman chamomile with lavender, ylang ylang and orange oils.
